Stem cells exert many of their effects by sending out small particles, filled with various growth and healing factors. These particles are called exosomes. Exosomes are important mediators of cell communication, they can also can be seen as “healing beacons” or “stem cell ammunition”. Their potential benefits:
- Exosomes Modulate Inflammation and Healing
Research is still limited, but exosomes have shown to down-regulate inflammation and stimulate healing and repair, similar to stem cells.
- They Are Smaller Than Stem Cells
Exosomes are much smaller than actual stem cells, which allows them to cross the blood brain barrier much easier. This makes exosomes a very interesting new option for applications aiming at the brain and central nervous system.
- They Can Be Used To Boost Other Procedures
Exosomes can also be used to enhance other stem cell procedures, including amniotic, umbilical cord, or adipose derived stem cell therapy.
Exosomes are produced from stem cells of young, healthy donors. At Integrative Medical, we use exosomes exclusively from US donors with the highest particle count available. Our exosomes, just like our stem cells, are delivered cryogenically frozen, ready to use for a wide range of applications.
